This is an open note to anyone who might be reading and currently struggling with something in their life. I have obviously been very busy on social media and posting a lot of content and putting myself out there over the last 3 months.
Motivational quotes and stories, a ton of videos and also books that I find useful and want to share.
At times it would appear I have my shit sorted, know what I want to do and am 'happy'.
Here's a couple of things you might not know:
I question myself, is being self employed for me? Maybe I should just get a job?
Some days I want to take on the world, other days I literally have no idea what I am going to do.
Some days I make poor food choices, and skip my workout, then other days I literally find it hard to get out of bed.
I check my phone too much, I overthink, I create stories in my head, I make dumb decisions and I have lost some special people through my actions.
We are all human, and I promise you no matter who you think someone is, there is something they are ashamed about and have packed away in their closet.
We pack it in the closet because why would you want to show our flaws to the world? Isn't that weakness?
No....It's called being normal.
I want to be perfectly clear when I say this: everyone has their own struggles.
"Everyone has a story that will bring you to your knees. Nobody rides for free" - Brenè Brown.
The thing about shame is, it can can only survive when it is kept secret.
Which is why I am making this post.
I am not looking for any sort of sympathy or attention.
I just want you to know that if you are going through a struggle right now, please realise that you're not alone.
The single best thing you can do is let your shame gremlins see the light.
80% of that awful ashamed feeling will disappear as soon as you be vulnerable and let it out.
Take a stand and embrace the fact you are human.
Don't let shame win.
Thanks for reading and goodnight.
