The garden of your mind

Your mind is a lot like a garden. If you're not careful with what you're feeding it with, you'll be forever working on removing the weeds.

You must always feed your mind with positive, uplifting messages.

You need to be conscious on what you plant, avoid negative inputs and focus on growth. That way, your mind can fully flourish.

Every time I've felt down, plagued with self-doubt or know my fears are creeping in (happens to everyone) I fuel my mind with positive inputs.

At the loudest volume I use Youtube clips of Les Brown, Tony Robbins, Robin Sharma, Dr DeMartini, and other inspirational clips to flick the switch.

I've even recorded my own voice sharing affirmations and positive messages which I'll listen to sometimes in order to spring me back into place.

As humans, we are much more conditioned to feel negativity and experience doubt as opposed to maximising our potential and dreaming bigger.

The question you need to ask is: Am I fuelling my mind with rubbish and forever pulling weeds? Or am I caring for my mind like the wonderful garden of growth it is?

Stop Bastardising Success

So many want to sell you the latest secret to success. You know what makes you successful? Doing the basics again and again and again.

If you do the following 10 things consistently (every single day) for the next 60 days, you will become successful.

  1. Get 7-8 hours sleep per night
  2. Give more value into the world than you take
  3. Workout (hard) 5 times a week
  4. Eat higher quality foods
    1. (a lot of veges, lean meats, high protein, high fat, minimal simple sugars etc)
  5. Do work that inspires you and gets you up in the morning.
  6. Stop comparing yourself to others
    1. If you catch yourself doing this, always look at the downsides of what they've got.
  7. Journal on your experiences and reguarlyl review what is and isn't working
    1. and do less of the stuff that doesn't work and more of the stuff that does work.
  8. Have growth minded conversations with people who can expand your mind.
  9. Focus on 1% better every single day
    1. Read a page of a book, listen to a podcast, watch a Youtube video or ted talk every single day of your life.
  10. Practice Gratitude
    1. At least 5 items per day.

Success isn't some 12 step system or weekend course. With google, we all know WHAT to do. Now it's all about 'doing it'.

So print off the above, stick it on your mirror, study it and practice it over the next 60 days.

Let's go.....

Try try try try try

Good Morning, Young Leader.

Wanted to share a little piece I have been thinking about lately.

It's around courage and shifting your ideas.

Nearly this time last year, I was trying A LOT of different things (always been like that), and was struggling to get traction in many of them.

Things were OK...but it was tiring AF.

I remember people kept telling me to calm down, relax and do one thing.

But why would I calm down when I wasn't happy? How could I calm down when I knew what I was doing wasn't for me.

That's the funny thing about 'advice'. MOST people give advice purely on what THEY would do....very few coaches or people out there can give objective opinions and advice.

But I remember speaking to a coach I hired for a consult and he said to me: "Hayden....I see you doing a lot of things...."

My heart sank...I'd just paid $400 for an hour of someones time to hear the same bloody thing everyone else had been telling me..!

However what he said next was a pleasant surprise:
"it's Fuc*king awesome".

It was like a 1000lb weight was lifted off my shoulders. One of the first people in several months that had actually showed support to trying things.

"Keep trying and giving things a try. You will continue to find what you do and don't like."

I want to offer you the same advice here this morning.

Keep trying, keep failing, keep learning, keep working, keep winning.

You will find your path <3

Much love.
