What an honour to speak with a man that I have looked up to for many years now and someone that has recently had a profound effect on my performance. Craig Ballantyne is a powerhouse that owns 3 highly successful businesses and is the author of the awesome book: "The Perfect Day Formula" (which I'm giving away 3 copies of...simply listen to the show to find out how to get one).
In this interview these are some of the questions I ask:
You started off with Turbulence Training, and brought the concept of short, sharp workouts to the world, Where did that idea stem from? We are going to get into the entire concept of turning your dreams into a reality a little later because you’ve written book on the topic, but in your opinion, What do you think is the ‘secret’ to getting idea’s off the ground? Why do most people struggle to get started or continue on after the initial motivation waivers? You’ve had mentors such as Mark Ford, but you’ve also ‘virtual mentors’ can you explain a little more about that, and the ‘round table’ meetings you used to conduct. What are you reading at the moment?
Really great recommendation here. Can't wait to grab it
Top 3 Books you've gifted ? (hint: one of these I'm doing a giveaway for!) How do you best build a connection with people
really great tips here...especially for introverts like me.
What does your daily life look like? What drives you? What seminar did you last go to that changed your life? What is your gratitude practice? Now you have a secret weapon that you learnt from one of your mentors and you’ve also passed down to many, many people…and that is getting up and going to bed at the same time. How did that initially help you and why is it so important? How long should we nap for (very good advice here to stop you from waking up groggy!) Where do you get your information from? (awesome share by Craig here) What do you read before bed? What is the Craig Ballantyne note taking process
(I also share mine here that I think you can benefit from)
How do you know if you're off track Your book, ‘the perfect day formula’, which I highly recommend everyone to pick up, takes us through how to set up a perfect day, and includes a section where you talk about your ‘life rules’. Your Non-negotiable that no matter what, you stick by. Can you explain a little more around that? Coaching...Should you look for a coach who has achieved ALL you want to achieve? 5 pillars of success. What are they and why are they important? Who do you most look up to these days?
3 great names given here for you to research
